What I Do

I have extensive experience in leading successful teams of developers and QA and have been actively involved in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle.  I have successfully delivered projects under both waterfall and agile methodologies with teams scattered across the country and offshore.

Prior to my tenure at ADP I spent 14 years designing and implementing software solutions for hospitals, including direct technical support to the sales team.

I am currently working as an independent HIPAA/IT security  consultant with ComplyAssistant to provide HIPAA-HITECH privacy/security, Breach Notification, Meaningful Use consulting and assessment services to the healthcare industry.

I have proven skills in managing multiple concurrent projects with conflicting priorities and in negotiating schedules and resources to meet the priority business needs.  I know how to build highly efficient teams.  At ADP I developed,  mentored, and retained a solid team of professionals who averaged well over 10 years longevity with the company, with several team members having over 20 years seniority.

I have had multiple consulting assignments in Beijing, China. Working with the CITS Group, Inc out of San Jose California, as part of a team of experts brought in by the Beijing governments' Foreign Experts Bureau.  I designed and delivered seminars and lead discussion groups on various IT best practice topics including, best practices in IT management and Quality Assurance, software tools, cloud computing, virtualization, leveraging human resource capital, IT project management, multi-site team collaboration, Agile, and IT outsourcing.
